- Tlie Linux Journal (www2.linuxjournal.com)-A comprehensive monthly magazine written for anyone interested in the Linux operating systems and its associated applications. The magazine includes product reviews, book reviews, a Take Command section that discusses specific commands, and a Linux Apprentice section aimed at those new to the operating system. Subscription cost is $22 for one year and can be completed online. Alternatively, you should be able to track down a copy in your local bookstore or newsstand.

Professional Associations
For those interested in finding out more about Novell and linking up with like minded individuals, look no further than NetWare Users International (NUI). NUI acts as a focal point for Novell user groups all over the country, and indeed the world. Membership is free and open to anyone by simply completing the online registration form. USENIX is the Advanced Computing Systems Association (www.usenix.org). Although not specifically for Unix related systems, it is a magnet for Unix related topics. USENIX is also the home of the Systems Administrators Guild (SAGE), an organization specifically targeted at computer systems administrators. A membership fee is required to join both organizations, the details of which are provided on the Web site.
Although the popularity of Unix has never been in question, the recent interest in Linux and the continuing rapid growth of the Internet has created a strong demand for related skills.
