Security Administrator Jobs description

A security administrator creates rights profiles. A security administrator is responsible for the overall security configuration of the company’s network environment, installing, upgrading, managing, maintaining, and ensuring the security software, supervising the administrative personnel assigned to the computer security function. He/she assists in acquiring the security software and equipment, identifies vulnerabilities and implements modifications in the security system and ensures that the departments follow and adhere to security responsibilities.
A security administrator is responsible for providing reports on information security issues on regular basis as well as maintaining and developing the security and risk management program and training the staff on information security issues. The other functions that a security administrator performs is detecting intrusions and providing protecting against viruses, defining policies for data retention and secure data disposal, providing network domain security design and management and performing audit tracking and reporting. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is required for this position with experience in this domain.
