Description
The Senior Application Architect designs and develops IT applications architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. The Senior Application Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Application Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Responsibilities:
Ability to decipher/map business requirements to tech specs
Model/Demonstrate systems thinking to provide holistic solution
Quickly understand disparate systems and map them to requirements
Actively participate in VSR creation process
Provide ROM and detailed estimates
Create/Validate ICDs and interface touch points
Creating solution arch diagrams, data work flow, conceptual diagrams, use case diagrams
Lead arch/design sessions, build consensus among architects and other stakeholders to create solutions.
Create design and architecture and break it down to programmers
Excellent communication skills to interact with business, PO, PMs, Architects, Programmers and Management
Ability to make decisions on best fit based on the information available.
Articulate/summarize/present solutions to management and senior leadership
Apply best practices and design patterns.
Guide and Mentor development team.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
7 or more experience as a senior developer in large IT projects
Prior project architect and/or team lead experience
Experience with Java, Python, .Net (C#), PCF, Pioneer, node.JS
Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines, GIT Hub, APIC, Kubernetes, Cloud Platforms
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree
Solutions Architecture
Experience as Architect leading projects impacting several systems and teams.
IBM Watson or other IVR products - Nuance, Genesys
AI technologies like NLP, STT, TTS
Knowledge of Kafka, Streamsets, IBM Cloud Private, OpenShift Container Platform
Experience with Telecom and call routing technology
Additional Information:
Will report to the Manager, Software Engineering, IT HPE - Medicare Medicaid - Development Support
Preference to work in LOU but open to Remote
