Key Responsibilities:
Accountable for the development, support, and evolution of analytic and data supply chain capabilities in partnership with the Business Insights & Analytics – Enterprise Strategy Analytics team. Acts as the IT Business Partner responsible to influence the business strategy, support the execution of strategic plans, oversee the digital capabilities portfolio, and ensure value realization of digital capabilities used by the BIA – Enterprise Strategy Analytics team. Partners with multiple IT delivery teams to identify strategic, innovative uses of technology and ensure adherence to information, data, security, and solution architecture principles, guidelines, standards, and best practices. Drives implementation of and adherence to data governance and/or data use policies in partnership with business owners and data custodians.
Responsibilities:
Accountable for delivery and support of strategically and/or tactically aligned analytic and/or data solutions in support of business needs.
Accountable to establish, maintain, and drive relationship(s) with BIA – Enterprise Strategy Analytics leaders and analytic teams.
Facilitates development of analytic and data capability strategic roadmaps across analytic delivery teams, information architecture teams, and IT solution delivery teams.
Accountable for development of business case and/or investment justifications, where necessary and appropriate.
Accountable for creation and maintenance of data acquisition/operational focused capabilities including: Data Catalog; Business Glossary; User Access Request/Tracking; Data Use Request/Tracking; Enforcement of Data Governance/Data Use Policies.
Key Competencies:
Required:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
10 years’ experience in an information technology related field within the life sciences industry delivering and supporting analytic solutions, master data management solutions, or other data management related discipline.
Demonstrated subject matter expertise in one or more data domains including finance, forecasting/planning, and/or portfolio management/optimization.
Proven ability to lead complex matrixed teams and work in a highly-matrixed environment.
Proven ability to manage large teams with either direct report relationships and/or contractor/partner relationships.
Ideal Candidates Would Also Have:
Experience deploying or supporting analytic or other data management capabilities in a hybrid cloud environment.
Experience working internationally and with a globally dispersed team.
Prior experience working with global life sciences data across discovery, clinical, manufacturing, and commercialization is a plus.
