Position Summary

The VP, Capital Markets and Corporate Analytics role is responsible for dissecting and analyzing Loan Origination and Market data to inform strategic business decisions. A strong analytical, statistical, and mathematical background is required. This role is expected to build and maintain complex models using tools ranging from Excel to SQL to SAS. Strong presentation skills and leaderships qualities are a must. Contributing to business reviews and executive level decks is also essential. In this role, the incumbent could touch upon a wide range of business and strategic initiatives where robust self-starting and organizational skills are important.

Primary Responsibilities

Build reporting suite comprehensively assessing loan origination and capital market results including, forecasting revenue and margin performance using market outlooks, and other KPIs

Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of the Capital Markets group, mortgage operations finance and compliance data warehouse.

Lead weekly/monthly meetings on performance metrics

Establish lines of communication to production channels to optimize pricing position and market share

Deliver reports appropriate to the audience e.g., Power BI, Power Point, Tableau

Highly organized, self-motivated, customer oriented and able to work independently as well as within a team and with internal business and technology partners.

Excellent soft skills such as oral and written communications, ability to gain credibility with others, works effectively on a team, and multitasking multiple projects at a time.

Proven track record of completing Capital Markets, mortgage operations, and accounting analytics projects to specifications while dealing with challenges such as cross-team dependencies, changing schedules and constantly evolving requirements.

Proven track record of driving multiple teams on parallel projects, balancing resources, and priorities to meet business needs.

Skilled in building and motivating technical teams and possess ability to build strategic relationships and influence people at all levels of the organization.

Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment

Possesses exceptional strategic thinking, planning and relationship building skills.

Subject matter expert in designing and implementing of Data Lake (AWS or Azure)

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

10 years of experience managing analytical/technical teams within the mortgage industry

10 years of experience in Finance, Mortgage Operations, and Compliance

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

Experience with BI and related query tools such as Tableau

SAS knowledge is required, pre-existing knowledge preferred (training will be provided)

5 years of experience with VBA and SQL

5 years of experience with R & Python programming languages

Understands predictive analytics and forecasting concepts

Experience managing complex and/or phased analytics projects

Supervisory Responsibility: This position manages the Infrastructure and Network engineering team. Offshore team supervisory and staff development.

Knowledge of vendor management, asset management, MS Office, databases, internet, web-based and software applications, ITSM service management

Desired:

Masters in Business Administration, Business Analytics or related field preferred

10 years of experience Financial Services, Mortgage Banking is preferred.
