Data Science Product Manager

Profile

As an Aon Product/Program Manager, you will help define the scope and schedule of machine learning projects. You will partner with Data Science and Data Engineering to take ideas from conception to fully visualized and interactive client deliverables. Understanding client needs and building long-term roadmaps to satisfy those needs will be a core skill. Helping land schedules and measuring progress will ensure we satisfy our internal and external clients!Aon IPS is an intellectual property focused data science group that uses Natural Language Processing and other machine learning techniques to help our insurance and finance clients get the maximum value from their intellectual property rights. We help people take action based on scientifically-rigorous data and modeling, and communicate data topics with clear visualizations. You will sit at the intersection of design, data science, data engineering, and program management to help realize Aon IPS's vision of becoming the trusted global authority on IP as an asset class!Do you possess the following skills?JIRA proficiencyScrum Master certification or equivalent work experience5 or more years of expertise with data mining tools. Python, R, and MATLABExperience with data analysis visualization tools such as Power BI or TableauExperience on projects that made heavy use of data pipelines and machine learningWe value talent with the following expertise:Ability to lead data science teams through product cyclesML Dev/Ops standard methodologiesPartnership and collaboration across technical areasAbility to understand and communicate ideas effectively to technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to collaborate with people at all levels in the organizationRepresent attributes of stewardship, modesty, integrity, trust, and gratitudeEagerness to join our start-up mentality and do what needs to be doneStrong organizational skillsEducation: Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or other engineering fieldCertificates or other educational experience related to program management, agile development, etc.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
