Job Description
The Sr. Software Development Engineer, works closely with Performance Testers, Systems Integration Testers, Engineering, Architecture, Service Delivery Engineers and partners to manage the testing environments for efficient buildout of 'production like' environments for test execution. This includes gathering and analyzing environment requirements and/or service level agreements. The Engineer partners with many groups throughout VIPER and Comcast to ensure the applications we deploy meet the needs and expectations of the business.
The broader VIPER End to End Test Engineering team is a diverse collection of quality assurance analysts, test automation engineers, software engineers, and systems administrators from all walks of life.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you will be developing, building, and maintaining multiple environments for the execution of VIPER End to End test and Performance testing.
Build, deploy, and maintain system test environments for existing and new solutions.
Analyze and recommend improvements to the scalability and resiliency of applications.
Automate application deployments.
Interact with internal and external team members, as well as partners, to analyze complex projects and break them down into detailed and functional tasks.
Assist with the creation and analysis of test results to project, partner, or senior leadership.
Regular and consistent attendance.

What You'll Need:
Bachelors of Science
5 - 10 years related experience
MUST HAVE experience with Kubernetes and Unix/Linux based operating system; preferably Centos/RHL
Experience with two or more of the following technologies: Docker, Helm, Terraform, Amazon AWS, VMWare, Concourse, ELK Stack
Experience with one or more of the following languages: Python, GoLang, Bash
Experience with the Atlassian tool stack (JIRA and Confluence)
Network troubleshooting skills
Motivated self-starter with the ability to research and troubleshoot issues
Great communicator and able to clearly articulate complex issues and technologies to both engineers and leadership
Strong collaborator
Excellent problem-solving skills
Willing to take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution
Comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment. Requirements change quickly and our team needs to constantly adapt to moving targets
Strong technical documentation skills
Systems Integration experience a plus
