This role is a business facing role that will engage with leaders across the Finance organization to understand the key business drivers. Partnering with each transformation leader will be critical to the success of this role. Developing a roadmap that leverages the existing assets and driving next generation technology options is important to the transformational efforts. The team includes Analysts, Solution Leads and Project Managers and will work across the IT organization (and managed service partners) to execute projects and support activities.
Essential Duties:
Use disciplined project management methodology to define scope, develop project plan, and execute projects that adhere to guidelines and deliver within cost and schedule.
Delivering all projects on time, within budget and meeting the desired outcomes and business requirements.
Tracking project milestones, anticipating risks & issues, proactive risk mitigation and making recommendations to business and IT leadership to achieve successful outcomes.
Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within or between projects or functional areas.
Elicit, analyze and document functional and technical requirements or user stories.
Perform configuration within a variety of software packages.
Develop and execute unit, system and integration test cases.
Cultivate strong business relationships by demonstrating an understanding of related processes, requirements, systems and terminology.
Maintain awareness of best practices, including processes and technology, and identify opportunities for improvement of existing functionality.
Develop, use existing, or research new tools that improve the delivery of solutions to customers.
Provide guidance/feedback to more junior analysts within the same team/area.
Develop work breakdown structures.
Estimate effort and duration for work.
Create, maintain, and ensure quality of systems that support key Customer business processes.
Collaborate with the functional end users, vendors, and IT peers to support applications, system integrations, and capabilities as needed.
Document and maintain support procedures and information as needed to maintain a positive support level.
REQUIREMENTS: Education: Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or an equivalent degree with experience equating to a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with 6 years of progressive experience in business environment or IT and/or advanced degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or an equivalent degree with 4 years of progressive experience.
Experience:
5 years of industry experience in Information Systems
5 years of experience communicating and influencing effectively at all levels of the organization
5 years of experience gathering requirements and mapping those requirements to solutions
5 years of experience in SAP FICO, Product Costing, Material Ledger, Profitability and Financial Planning and Reporting
Experience with SAP BPC Embedded versions
Reporting components Analysis for Office, Power BI, Google Big Query, BEX Query Designer, EPM and Macros.
AWS, GCP and Azure Cloud tools
Computer Skills: Advanced general computer skills required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint. Basic knowledge of JIRA, HP Quality Center and Service Now is a plus. Strong financial acumen
Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with customers, peers, and management required. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required. Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment.
Special Skills: Advanced troubleshooting skills. Ability to lead and mentor junior team members through requirements gathering, business process mapping, and system analysts. Experience leading large projects preferred.
