Description

The Senior Cloud Architect leads the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to cloud computing. The Senior Cloud Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Cloud Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications for cloud computing environments.

This position will be a key Technical Architect position in the Cloud Environment and will have the opportunity to shape the Humana Cloud Eco-system. Year over year the Humana Cloud Eco-system has grown tremendously thus allowing for continuous growth with continual investment in the associates. The Senior Cloud Architect will develop specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings and will assess the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.

Responsibilities Include:

Design, build and deploy Cloud solutions across Humana's GCP or AWS Clouds

Design automation of infrastructure as a Service and capabilities including virtual networks, virtual machines, cloud services, web sites, data services, etc.

Lead technical deployments that involve multiple IT teams and stakeholders

Provide technical direction to meet the internal needs

Develop, enhance, orchestration and automation of cloud enablement tools

Design a highly scalable and redundant virtual infrastructure to support the company's future growth

Provide innovative suggestions for complex implementation solutions

Create documentation and implementation plans to allow support teams to build and manage the internal cloud environment

Stay abreast of current technologies and make recommendations based on knowledge and research

Required Qualifications

3-5 or more years of technical experience

Experience working in GCP or AWS Clouds

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Familiar with Kubernetes (EKS or GKE)

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated (preferred) or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while on-site at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
