The Lead Enterprise Agile Coach is responsible for helping to drive the transformation across the organization at the enterprise, portfolio, program, and team level by leveraging frameworks, including Scaled Agile (SAFe), Scrum, and Kanban. This position drives the overall transformation, roadmap, delivery, and adoption of lean-agile ways of working throughout the organization. This role will provide leadership to multiple agile release trains from end-to-end, deliver SAFe training and workshops, bring standard methodologies into the organization, and partner closely with leadership to establish lean-agile routines and practices that transform the organization to sustainably run agile at scale. The Lead Enterprise Agile Coach also helps to lead the lean-agile center of excellence which collaboratively manages the transformation backlog initiatives that drive exceptional business outcomes and business agility. Essential Functions • Champion and promote the business outcomes, need, urgency, and vision for Lean-Agile ways of working which lead to business agility. • Lead the Lean-Agile Transformation roadmap and manage the Transformation backlog through the use of a hub and spoke model of lean-agile center of excellence (LACE). • Lead the organization in Projects to Products transition and coach departments on the formation of cross-functional product teams • Coach and drive coaching engagements within Digital Technology at the enterprise, portfolio, program, and even team level. • Coach Digital technology business partners to identify, champion, and train Product Owners, Product Managers, and Business Owners/Executives driving toward new ways of working and strategic alignment on business outcomes through lean-agile processes. • Develop and drive the safe use of assessments, health checks and maturity models to measure progress and pinpoint areas of continuous improvement with all layers of the organization. • Develop, coach, and implement metrics to optimize delivery and measure business agility in terms of predictability, reliability, and adaptability. • Champion Lean-Agile Communities of Practice (CoP’s) • Develop training roadmap and conduct Agile/SAFe-related training for the organization (Agilist, Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), Scrum Master, Product Owner, Team Members, etc.) • Facilitate and coach others through portfolio-level workshops (visioning, strategy, budgeting), Value Stream Identification Workshops and launching Agile Release or Solution Trains (ARTs). • Drive adoption of cultural changes such as: Lean-Agile mindset, principles, core values, DevOps, customer centricity, design thinking, agile product delivery, continuous learning culture, lean portfolio management, and technical agility. Incidental Functions • Assist with other projects or product teams as may be required to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the work. • Attend, and periodically lead meetings. • Some travel may be required • Working outside the standard office 7.5-hour workday as required; on-call availability. Position Requirements Formal Education & Certification • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study (e.g., Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Systems Management, Mathematics) or equivalent experience. • SAFe® Program Consultants (SPC) (or needs to be within first 90 days) Knowledge & Experience • 12 years of IT experience • 8 years of hands-on experience as an Agile Coach working directly with multiple Scrum or product teams in multiple organizations. • 5 years of experience as a SAFe, Agile/Scrum Trainer teaching basic Agile/Scrum principles and best practices in a classroom setting or corporate setting. • 4 years of experience as an Agile/Scrum coach teaching Product Owners forecasting, release planning, backlog management and data driven decision making • 5 years of experience using agile collaboration tools • Expert level understanding of SAFe and Agile with hands-on experience in Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and/or eXtreme Programing • Consulting and facilitation skills in leading technical teams in the adoption and improvement of Agile mindset Certification Preferred but not required • Certified SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager • Certified SAFe® Scrum Master • Certified SAFe® Lean Portfolio Management • Certified SAFe® Release Train Engineer • Certified LPM® Lean Portfolio Manager • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) / Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) / Professional Scrum Master (PSM) Personal Attributes • Excellent presentation and communication skills and strong time management skills • Adaptive coaching style with the ability to work with teams at various levels and in different locations • Thinks outside the box and is willing to explore new ideas. • Problem solver with solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills • Detail-oriented, focused and goal-driven • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent written and oral communications skills. • Exceptional client handling skills with the ability to quickly develop relationships at all levels of the organization; domestically and internationally. • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and independently as needed • Ability to quickly pick up new tools and technologies. • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. • Ability to effectively move forward on tasks even with ambiguous or changing requirements. • Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities. • Strong commitment to inclusion and diversity.
