Structurers work closely with the Sales & Origination teams, trade desks and functions to timely and accurately develop, value, mark and manage this evolving menu.
What’s the role?
This role is a structurer position accountable for managing the valuation, risk management and structuring of complex transactions. In addition, this role is accountable for guiding efforts to make continuous improvements and adjustments to approaches for developing, valuing, marking and managing transactions as technologies, markets and regulations continue to evolve through the energy transition.
Accountabilities:
Manage the valuation, risk assessment, and structuring of large complex deals.
Develop models using existing and new technologies to address high dimensionality problems
Architect portfolio management systems/models for use by other team members
Partner with Trading, Origination, Fundamentals, Finance, Market Risk, Credit and New Energies to develop, value, price, mark and manage the evolving menu of products and services
Work to find the “best deal” by suggesting appropriate commercial modifications to deal structures
Suggest improvements and changes needed to stay ahead of the changing energy marketplace
What we need from you
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, mathematics or similar fields or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Postgraduate PhD or MS preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in developing data science stacks and real option modeling.
Demonstrable experience in Python or Matlab programming.
Substantial experience with structuring complex transactions within the power or related renewable energy sectors
Experience managing structuring and valuation of multi-faceted, unique and/or new solutions
Knowledge of the key drivers shaping the markets and sustainability ambitions of large C&I customers
General to thorough knowledge in both wholesale and retail power markets, and in valuing distributed energy resource solutions
Special Challenges
Managing and coordinating efforts across multiple functions and commercial teams to evolve structuring, valuation and risk management approaches in step with the energy transition
