Description

The Principal Enterprise Architect will play a key role in understanding Humana's business strategy and capabilities and map those to segment priorities for delivery. The Principal Enterprise Architect will collaborate with architects developing the Enterprise Architecture practices to ensure those practices meet the segments where they are at and provide acceleration towards their goals within the framework. To support this activity, the Principal Enterprise Architect will collaborate with the Business Architecture team to define and implement the Segment Architecture practice. The Principal Enterprise Architect will leverage a common language (around Domains and Business Capabilities) that stakeholders can use to enhance the IT technology planning process. This role serves as a thought leader to challenge/influence all levels across the organization to rethink routine and drive adoption of the IT strategy. To ensure firsthand knowledge of solution architecture activities, this role will also be responsible for applying enterprise architecture governance across the domains. This firsthand knowledge will be used to directly accelerate the IT Segments and their use of approved technology standards and practices.

Responsibilities

Build a Segment Architecture Practice/Framework within Humana that includes ○ Working with various stakeholders to create and build enterprise alignment for segment specific technology roadmaps that align to the domain model ○ Partner with the EA practices organization to ensure segment architecture requirements are incorporated in the Data, Application and Technology architecture frameworks ○ Communicating Enterprise Architecture frameworks, standards and practices to the IT segments to create alignment and advancement ○ Identifying IT architecture and technology solutions that provide IT segments the basis to delivery for their customers and Humana members ○ Ensuring traceability from business and technology strategy through capabilities to IT investments.

Facilitate the creation of clear, concise and easy to access business architecture data and standards to provide engineering teams with tactical direction for documenting their business architecture. Clearly communicate the value associated with adhering to the business architecture framework

Create visibility and build awareness of the gaps between current state business architecture versus future state business architecture to ensure gaps are prioritized for resolution

To ensure ground truth knowledge, for a subset of solutions, ensure seamless governance is applied to engineering teams who are building those solutions

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or 10 years in IT)

5 years of experience architecting enterprise technology solutions

Ability to partner within and across teams to gain consensus and enable change

Ability to influence stakeholders

Ability to drive tasks to completion

Strong communication skills for creating and sharing presentations to multiple levels of audiences of stakeholders - i.e. senior executives in business and IT, architects, developers, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters Degree

TOGAF Certification

Cloud Certification

2-5 years of experience in Cloud technologies or Enterprise Architecture
