Summary:

Leads

the evaluation, implementation and maintenance of marketing analytics software

and cloud computing tools so users can measure and report on the effectiveness

of marketing activities and aid in decision-making on how best to market the

company’s products and services. Ensures the software and cloud computing tools

provide value and meet the needs of Petco’s media transformation. Confers with

marketing analytics team to analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems

to automate business processes and to improve existing software and cloud

computing tools.Principle

Duties and Responsibilities:Manages

requests for technology support from in-house and agency-based marketing and

media teams.  Acts as a liaison between

end-users and information technology (IT) systems development teams for

business needs requiring IT-based solutions. Identifies and analyzes business

needs, gathers requirements, and defines scope and objectives. Translates

business requirements into software application requirements.  Creates and maintains documentation on

business processes.Evaluates,

implements and maintains software and cloud computing tools that enable Petco

to leverage its data set to its fullest competitive advantage. Captures,

develops, and documents data definitions, business rules, and data quality

requirements used in software and cloud computing tools. Identifies and defines

process and data improvements.  Performs

data audits and analysis, and ensures software and cloud computing tools meet

data governance and privacy regulatory requirements.Leads

the evaluation, implementation and maintenance of marketing technology

analytics software and cloud computing tools (e.g., Google Big Query, Ads Data

Hub, Google Analytics 360 and Marketing Evolution, etc.) and researches,

evaluates and makes recommendations on long-term plans.Prioritizes

and coordinates updates to software and cloud computing tools, and provides

post-update support to end-users.Coordinates

transfers of consumer data between data warehouse, marketing technology

analytics software, cloud computing tools and web-based, media activation

software platforms.  Maintains data

dictionaries, and creates and distributes reports to support media analytics

and customer data platform vendors.Plans,

directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals

or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and

funding parameters.  Activities include:  (a) Develops and reviews project proposal or

plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing

project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various

phases of project. (b) Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of

project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. (c)

Confers with project staff to outline workplan and to assign duties,

responsibilities, and scope of authority. (d) Directs and coordinates

activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and

within prescribed budget. (e) Reviews status reports prepared by project

personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. (f) Prepares project

reports for management or others. (g) Confers with project personnel to provide

technical advice and to resolve problems.

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s

degree in related field, 5 years of experience in IT, digital marketing, media,

analytics or E-commerce roles or an equivalent combination of experience,

education and/or training.

Strong

communication skills (in person, on phone and by email) with the ability to

clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences including

executive management.

Great

organizational skills, with attention to detail.

Ability

to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and be comfortable in a fast-paced,

changing environment.

Ability

to work closely with teams in-person and ability to facilitate long distance

relationships and communicate project status back to the broader group.

Experience

with Marketing Analytics Platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics,

Coremetrics.

Experience

with large data warehouses and data visualization tools such as Microstrategy

and Tableau.Preferred

Qualifications SQL
