Responsibilities
The Senior Business Systems Analysis Professional formulates and defines systems and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Devises or modifies procedures and processes to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Validates benefits achieved from solution implementation. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform Planning and Analysis.
Learn and gain thorough understanding of relevant systems and processes in place to meet needed business capabilities
Perform analysis of changes needed to meet modified or new business capabilities
Document business requirements and translate to technical specifications
Perform benefit and cost analysis for proposed solutions
Formulate and Define Systems and Objectives.
Define system deliverables based on business objectives and user needs
Help devise new problem solving procedures and processes based on existing or planned infrastructure
Modify existing procedures to make improve efficiency or add functionality
Collaborate with architects and software engineers to ensure viability of new/modified processes
Formulate Support Project Testing and Implementation.
Prepare system deployment and communication plan
Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and ensure success before moving to User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Coordinate UAT and assist testers as needed to ensure complete and accurate testing. Obtain approval from each business owner or delegate before declaring ready to deploy.
Assist with creation of deployment plan (including post implementation verification) and coordinate implementation at scheduled time.
Provide system support and troubleshooting as needed.
Required Qualifications -
Our Department of Defense contract requires U.S. Citizenship
Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (eQIP - Electronic Questionnaire for Investigation Processing)
Bachelor's degree, technical area preferred or technical training equivalent
Five or more years of technical experience (technical business analyst/systems analyst)
Two years of relevant project leadership experience
Experience with IT business analysis and artifact creation
Ability to work well in a team development setting
Experience with Microsoft Office or similar tools
Good oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle, Waterfall, and Agile Development Methodologies
Experience problem solving and consultation within complex environments
Experience facilitating cross-functional teams' efforts
Ability to work weekends a few times a year
Preferred Qualifications -
Master's Degree
Experience in healthcare industry
Experience with Azure Dev Ops
