JOB SUMMARY
Maintains technology strategies by managing staff, researching and implementing technological strategic solutions. Implements and maintains the policies and goals for TSG to support Carilion's needs. Ensures proper information system operations and plans necessary upgrades. Directly responsible for the creation and delivery of development plans for staff to ensure the needs of the business are met. Oversees internal IT support functions.
Servant IT leader with demonstrated experience developing individuals, building teams, and managing technology transformations. Experience leading in a matrixed IT organization with both agile and traditional project management required. Experience leading software developers, developing in house solutions, and technical professionals responsible for configuring, integrating, and implementing vendor systems is also required. Experience with the migration of applications to the cloud and the implementation of API management, CI/CD, and application security is highly desirable. Two or more years' experience working for a Healthcare provider is highly desired as well. Experience with ERP, Talent Management, Integration, API Management, Web and IT automation applications is desired. Experience with healthcare systems in the laboratory, cardio, and medical imaging space is also desired. Jira or similar management tool experience is required.
Duties and Responsibilities may include but not limited:
*Accomplishes positive staffing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. *Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; develops personal growth opportunities and development plans for continued employee growth. *Maintains TSG's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies. *Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements. *Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action. *Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards. *Proactively identifies areas of improvement (process or technical) and develops plans for associated changes required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Business or equivalent work experience required.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of IT experience and a minimum of 2 years of management experience including direct supervision of staff level resources.
Licensure,certification, and/or registration:
Valid Virginia drivers' license and dependable transportation.
ITIL Foundation Certification
Other: Must be analytical, dependable, and detail oriented. Must possess strong interpersonal skills and have a command of the English language (both written and oral). Must demonstrate solid leadership and presentation skills. Must be self-initiated, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be customer service oriented.
