In this role, you will work closely with Senior Leadership to build and execute a communications strategy for our internal IT organization.

You’ll create thoughtful and engaging company-wide campaigns to build awareness of the services we provide, major programs that will affect the daily activities of all ADP associates and help build external awareness of ADP’s advanced technology initiatives.

No two days are the same. You will work alongside a team of passionate, creative leaders to brainstorm and plan out persona-driven campaigns, messaging, channel strategy and stakeholder management. While every day is fast-moving and unpredictable, one thing is sure: people skills are necessary for every aspect of this job.

To thrive in this role, you must have a good understanding of the services provided by an enterprise-grade IT organization, and be comfortable with technical concepts and language.

You should have a natural ability to understand the key messages within a technical communications for a non-technical audience, where necessary, and the ability to define different audience types and personas and the appropriate communications for each. You should be comfortable and have experience with a variety of channels – internal websites, blogs, videos, toast messaging, and yes even email – and the ability to effectively combine these to drive awareness and engagement. Our IT communications group is small, nimble and geographically dispersed – you will need to be comfortable driving consensus across diverse view points, leveraging insights from a matrixed model. Additionally, as we look to build broader campaigns you should be able to engage with ADP’s Corporate Communications and Marketing groups for input, buy-in and acceptance. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

You'll be working closely with the IT group Senior Leadership Team and senior Program Managers to develop communications strategies and plans for the entire organization.

Working across a variety of teams, you’ll be building assets and plans to leverage and combine channels as a force multiplier of the messaging. You’ll bring creative solutions to design and develop eye-catching, effective communications.

Building an effective communications strategy requires soliciting the input of a wide array of stakeholders – representatives from our partner business units, Corporate Communications, Marketing, executive leadership, and others. You will have visibility to and influence across all of these groups.

Variety of tasks.

There is no typical day. You could coach a teammate, deliver a status update to executives in other departments, or make sure we have deployed our resources in the best possible way. You will manage many competing priorities, so a fast pace should not scare you. You pride yourself on having flexibility and agility and can change directions without a second thought.

Your job is to help everyone else work better. What tasks or issues can you handle so your development team can keep working? What barriers can you remove?

You have 5 years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar communications role for an IT organization.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

You’ll have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent

Experience building Communications Strategies, multi-channel marketing and persona-based planning to develop effective communication procedures and policies

Comfort with and knowledge of technology paradigms and terms

Direct experience in software development or Information Technology (IT) a strong plus

Understanding of and alignment to corporate communications standards

Design direction and content development experience

Excellent communication skills in both oral and written forms
