SUMMARY
Bering Straits Information Technology, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Operations Manager in Washington, DC. The Operations Manager will serve as the central point of contact for contractual issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for ensuring the stable operation and efficient performance of the NSM enterprise networks and programs, monitoring and managing all aspects of the programs to ensure they meet performance metrics set by the customer.
Provide leadership, activity planning, coordination, and day-to-day direction of the program, produce required deliverables, and meet the relevant program milestones.
Analyze current business practices to identify areas for process improvement and create project management templates to assist in data gathering and research.
Provide management oversight of contract employees.
Work directly with the USG program manager and develop an outstanding customer relationship.
Assess the various groups within the branch and manage a continuous feedback loop for ongoing improvement within the organization.
Recommend risk mitigation strategies.
Develop and maintain the staffing plan by performing recruiting and interviewing for new contract personnel.
Foster a collaborative environment within the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Ten (10) years of technical security, information technology, and managerial experience
Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP).
Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret level security clearance.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Solid working knowledge of information technology, technical security systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control, and Diplomatic Security standards.
Experience leading Network and Systems projects in the government space – DS is highly desirable
Clear and concise reporting capability
Experience in Microsoft Office
Experience in recruiting IT professionals and performing technical assessments
Must be a team player who leads with an open and collaborative approach
Preferred
ITIL and CMMI experience

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Hires and supervises direct reports.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
