The Director, Learning Design uses instructional design, cognitive psychology and adult learning theory to determine the appropriate solution to a knowledge or performance gap. The Director, Learning Design requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment.
Responsibilities

The Director of IT Learning and Talent Programs is responsible for helping develop and leading execution of the organization's roadmap for developing our teams' knowledge and skills to remain contemporary with its evolving industry and technology ecosystem.

The Director of IT Learning and Talent Programs has accountability for co-developing the overarching Talent Strategy with Humana IT's leaders and Human Resources partners, to support the transformation in Humana's technology ecosystem and in IT's ways of working. The leader will have end-to-end accountability for instructional design, curation, and facilitation, talent development programs, learning systems, and training effectiveness measurement.
As part of its accountability, the Director of IT Learning and Talent will also provide strategic leadership toward efforts to curate, develop, and deploy user training for technology tools we provide associates across Humana. Examples of these tools include Office 365, Zoom, etc. The role incumbent also oversees the initiatives to build and maintain talent pipelines for IT.
Key Responsibilities
Apply a customer-centric mindset to IT's approach towards learning and talent development activities
Define IT's talent profile -- knowledge, skills, behaviors, where talent is coming from and where they will be located
Oversee IT's Upskilling strategy & agenda, including learning development, design, and delivery in support of IT's transformation initiatives and upskilling needs, serving over 3,400 IT associates and key stakeholders across the company
Drive ownership for the management of IT's college programs as a talent pipeline, including co-ops, internships and post-bachelor's/graduate school program recruiting
Design and deployment of talent development acceleration programs to fuel growth and learning among high potential talent
Oversee the creation and administration of an IT-wide New Hire Onboarding Program to assimilate newly hired associates into the IT culture
Support and ensure successful implementation of IT's Talent Strategy in close coordination with Human Resources, IT Learning Services, IT Communications, key strategic IT partners, and leaders across IT
Establish metrics and infrastructure for monitoring effectiveness and value of IT's learning and talent development programs
Continuously evaluate and optimize IT's learning infrastructure, including learning management systems, badging platform, etc.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior executives around learning and development strategies
Strong organizational skills and experience in overseeing a portfolio of learning and development programs
Prior experience working with or in a Technology organization, demonstrating acumen for IT concepts, principles and processes
Experience in using quantitative and qualitative measures to assess learning and development program value and effectiveness
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving talent and organizational effectiveness
Demonstrated high learning agility and tolerance for ambiguity
Demonstrated strengths in problem solving, communications, interpersonal skills, big picture thinking balanced with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications
MBA or Advanced degree in Organizational Development or Education desired Experience with enabling digital or organizational transformation journeys through learning and development
Process engineering or optimization experience, utilizing data to drive program design and execution decisions
