What is the role?
This role will work with stakeholders to specify, design and Implement information systems that deliver great value to the Fleet Solutions arm of the Mobility business of Shell. Fleet Solutions is a technology platform business operating in 47 markets globally, directly, with license partners and agents, being one of the largest B2B payment platforms in the world.
This is a unique opportunity to play an active role in Shell’s transition to be a digital & customer centric company and the goal of Fleet solutions to be the ‘Amazon of business mobility’. The IT Solutions designed by Solution Architect will cover a wide area including channels (web/mobile/API/bots), CRM (marketing, sales, CPQ, service, IVR), mobility services (telematics, fleet assistant, freight brokerage, tolling, fueling on demand), fleet card platforms, physical & digital card payments, ERP, Credit, new market entries, BI and Analytics along with strong integrations with RES (Renewables and Energy Solutions) for decarbonizing road fleet.
Support the IT strategy and value delivery for the Shell Fleet Solutions arm of the Mobility business of Shell Retail/Mobility Business.
What we need from you
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Bachelor's Degree related to IT required
Minimum of 12 years in a professional senior technical role such as technical lead, architect, or other hands on role ideally for a major consultancy or system integrator is a must.
Ideally formal qualification in Enterprise Architecture (e.g. TOGAF) or formal qualifications in technology.
Technical certifications in SOA, integration products or cloud platforms is an added advantage
Good to have prior experience in card payments & payment routing is highly desired.
Reduce and eliminate technical debt. Make sure that the product is healthy from a technology perspective, so that it can be easily developed and maintained in short release cycles.
Experience in Functional Mapping of Business Processes and Product features.
Strong background in integration design, architecture & implementation of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), Microservices architecture confirming to principles of 12 factor apps.
Comfortable articulating API strategies and the benefits they bring to a non-technical audience
Solid foundation around concepts of API and integration is mandatory. Comfortable with designing RESTful APIs. Experience in design patterns to integrate and manage data from diversified sources in various modes- batch, real-time, near real time.
Clear understanding of fundamentals and differences in Azure cloud solution design around PaaS, IaaS, SaaS. Must be adept at the various patterns and considerations w.r.t defining compute, network and storage solutions for a given requirement. Experience in cloud-based component design, configuration, security design, Design of Role Based Access Controls will be required. Knowledge of integrating cloud services to other cloud services and on-premise services.
Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences. Articulate benefits of digital architectures and their benefits by drawing comparisons against the current state architecture.
Self-starter with the ability to appropriately priorities and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment. Results oriented with ability to produce products that deliver organizational benefit. Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude.
Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or the equivalent and architecture tooling like Bizz Design, ArchiMate, System architect
Solution-design experience for end to end solution architectures involving large scale integrations is mandatory. Must be accountable for the BDAT (Business, Data, Application Integration & Technology) aspects of the architecture in such solutions.
