Against that backdrop, we are seeking a talented technology leader for the newly-created role of Director, Finance Technology Modernization. Reporting to VP, Segment CIO, Corporate Services, the Director, Finance Technology Modernization will collaborate with leaders from Finance, Insurance, and other corporate business areas to develop an enterprise technology and digital strategy to deliver modern technology solutions enable end-to-end finance management and lead the multi-year Finance Modernization effort.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Lead technology strategy and execution for enterprise financial applications

Oversee the enterprise-level strategic investment to modernize our financial technology platform over the next three years

Maintain and implement the new plan design changes for the next 3 years on our current platform in parallel to the new platform migration

Accountable for strategy, business process redesign partnership, and full implementation and migrations to the new IT platform

Effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders across IT and the enterprise

Enable journey-based interactions for finance users and other associates

Partner closely with finance product owners and product managers, cloud strategy teams, enterprise security team, along with portfolio leadership and supporting IT development partners for building the strategy and executing on the roadmap

Key Candidate Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience (typically 8 years) in progressive leadership roles, along with several years of experience developing ERP or Finance solutions, and leading large cross-functional teams focused on technology transformation. This person will also have demonstrated experience in modern advanced data and analytics capabilities. Bachelor's degree is required (preferably in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field); Master's degree is a strong plus.

In addition to the above, the following technical qualifications and personal attributes are also sought:

Demonstrated success and experience in planning and implementation of a large scale platform such as Oracle, salesforce, workday or others

Solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes

Must be passionate about embracing new ways of working and contributing to an organization focused on driving better customer experiences and outcomes

3 years of experience leading Finance solutions

3 years of cloud transformation experience (infrastructure and security)

Experience leading Oracle ERP Cloud implementation

Excellent oral and written communications skills at all organizational levels, including the ability to skillfully convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and to influence leaders and key stakeholders in a highly-matrixed environment.

The polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with senior and executive level audiences

Highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage many diverse stakeholders and SMEs and win their co-ownership in the outcome

Track record of identifying, cultivating, and motivating talent. Proven ability to attract top talent from inside and outside of an organization to build high-performing teams.

Strong knowledge of healthcare and insurance financials, enrollment, billing and claims processes
