Job Description:

This position will guide operations in Information and Digital Technology (IDT) with the mission to achieve secure, agile and reliable operations by creating, evergreening and embedding enterprise standard processes & procedures for Cyber Resilience, Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Emergency Response activities, including:

Providing subject matter expertise on the above-mentioned processes & procedures

Examining, tracking and reporting on operational process execution

Organizing and conducting tests and exercises (like a DR test) to verify knowledge and maturity of processes & procedures

The selected candidate will work in a global, virtual team and engage with supplier teams and stakeholders. This position will report to the IT Process Manager IT Emergency Response.

Accountabilities

Contribute to the development of the roadmap and maturity model for enterprise procedures

Embed the enterprise standard processes & procedures in the IDT organisation by conducting training sessions and presentations to ensure effective execution and operationalization

Managing, as Subject Matter Expert, operational forums with stakeholders

Take on Accountability for new capabilities that are delivered by projects and transferred to the Business-As-Usual (BAU) IDT organisation.Example: Capabilities delivered by the Cyber Resilience Program

Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and controls

Initiate and guide continuous improvement activities in partnership with Shell IDT teams, suppliers, business partners and cross-functional teams

Identify and maintain alignment of IDT capabilities with industry best practices (like DR, BCM)

Dimensions and Special Challenges

Spearhead activities related to IDT procedures with a diverse senior stakeholder community and suppliers

Ability to quickly grow a general technical knowledge of many critical infrastructure IT services on various digital platforms used in Shell (On-Premise data centres, Azure cloud, Amazon cloud etc) to be able to interact with the many different stakeholders

Working in a virtual team across multiple time zones may require availability during early morning and/or late evening hours. Managing time and work-life balance is critical.

Ability to work with concurrent tasks with relevant prioritization.

Qualifications and Skills

Mandatory

Approximately 8-12 years of corporate IT experience

4-years degree related to IT

At minimum 6 years of experience in executing ITIL operations and process embedding

Capable of working unassisted and with teams (as supervisor and team player) in a virtual and cross-cultural environment

Strong verbal, writing and presentation skills (in English)

Skilled in executing and managing operational ITIL processes across large infrastructure and application environments, including SaaS and PaaS

Skilled in using Microsoft Office products (like Excel tables, charts, pivot tables & PowerPoint) as well as reporting tools (like PowerBI)

Skilled in being able to translate and present reporting results into a story that is relevant for stakeholders

Skilled in negotiating win-win solutions with stakeholders

Strong organizational skills, able to achieve results through influence, intervention & drive rather than through traditional line organization

Excellent team player skills and is highly experienced at creating and managing relationships with stakeholders at various levels, singly and in groups.

Certification in Business Continuity Management, Risk Management and/or Disaster Recovery Management

Strong Knowledge of the IT business environment and driving business outcomes

ITIL certifications at both the foundation and intermediate level

Cyber Security awareness

Knowledge and experience with project delivery methodology (like Agile, DevOps).
