Description
The Lead Cloud Architect leads the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to cloud computing. The Lead Cloud Architect works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
The Lead Cloud Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications for cloud computing environments. Develops specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Required Qualifications
a Bachelor's degree
8 or more years of technical experience
2 or more years of project leadership experience
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in design, development and deployment of data pipelining and processing to meet business needs
-Python, pyspark, shell/bash scripting
-API frameworks and data workflows
-Data streaming technologies
Scripting skills with Python or NodeJs
Good understanding of cloud concepts including networking, resource management and monitoring and debugging
Data pipelines, preferably in a Cloud toolkit like StreamSets, NiFi, Azure Data Factory, etc.
Experience with real time use cases using streaming technologies - like Kafka/Google PubSub
Experience in a DevOps (CI/CD) environment
Experience deploying applications to Cloud using CI/CD Pipelines - within one of the major cloud providers (Google, AWS and Microsoft Azure)
Working knowledge with containers such as Kubernetes or Docker
Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
MongoDB
CloudSQL, Oracle, or other relational DBs is a plus
Data Engineering experience is a plus
Working knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, etc
Working knowledge of structured and non-structured data
Must be able to coordinate with offshore/onshore team on development activities
Able to guide and mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and perform requirement validations
Healthcare domain experience is a plus
Should be an individual contributor with a passion to work in a team environment
Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
Follows established guidelines/procedures.
