What We’re Looking For:
The Technical Design Lead will create and maintain learning experiences and resources that guide Instructional Staff to build the necessary technical skills to deliver boot camp programs, directly impacting Instructional Staff efficacy, attrition, and ability to deliver student outcomes.
To do this, the Technical lead will collaborate with Instructional Staff, Learning & Development Strategy, Curriculum, and Regional Academic Managers to identify existing and future skill gaps and create engaging learning solutions that close those gaps. This role will have their finger on the pulse of Instructional Staff sentiment & will advocate for Instructional Staff needs across the organization.
Additionally, the Technical Design Lead has a clear impact internally: this role (1) designs communication and infrastructure that ensures effective collaboration and transparency (2) synthesizes large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data to recognize patterns & opportunities for human-centric learning at scale and (3) generates products and processes that leverage identified patterns & opportunities from our data.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Please note that the L&DS team does not have a stand-alone project or program management function. Instead, every member of the team is responsible for the transparent and effective project management necessary to accomplish complex deliverables with multiple stakeholder groups.
Project Management:
Lead projects from needs analysis through post-deployment maintenance by:
Determining and defining project scope, objectives, and success criteria
Organize and plan project tasks, owners, and timelines
Analyze project progress and adapting when necessary to time, quality, and efficacy concerns
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
Facilitate and encourage collaboration across departments to ensure projects are completed successfully
Data Analysis
: Collaborate with Diagnostic and Implementation teams to
Determine and communicate requirements for data collection needs
Determine and communicate requirements for data analysis needs;
Analyze data to assess potential impact for pathway;
Analyze data to assess impact of pathways on KPIs
Analyze data to assess instructional staff perception of pathways
Collaboration - Internal
: Collaborate with various internal teams to
Represent the IPX team throughout the pathway process
Define and document the communication processes between Recruitment, Curriculum, SSM, and the LD&S team
Define, document, and shepherd the communication between the Evaluation & Diagnostic, Design, and Implementation LD&S teams.
Instructional Design
: Design, develop, and iterate learning pathways that meet instructional staff needs as defined by diagnostic assessments. This includes design perspective in go/no go decisions on pathway creation and assessment design for objectives-based learning
Leadership:
Iteratively maintain, grow, & share expertise in technical skills required by our boot camps.
Facilitation
: Facilitate and/or TA for live sessions, design sessions, office hours, and other learning events as needed
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
Graduate of a boot camp program (preferred)
3-5 years of experience, with roles including instructional design, instructor training, boot camps, project management, and scaling learning experiences (required)
Familiarity with Python, Front-end development, SQL, and JavaScript (preferred)
Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional relationships (required)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in a courteous, tactful, and concise manner
Organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Strong interest in education and adult learning industry

In Colorado, the anticipated base salary for this role is $70,000, with potential bonus and equity eligibility. Note: The final compensation for this position may consider factors including the geographic location where the work is performed (candidate’s assigned office) and prior work experience of the candidate.
