Description

The Senior Business Intelligence Architect solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Senior Business Intelligence Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Business Intelligence Architect is a well-rounded individual who is ready to influence department's strategy, makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach. Collects, integrates, analyzes, and presents an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information for project components. Is a Power BI expert who can develop dashboards and reports that will enable the segment leaders to make proactive decisions. This associate will be working with several key stakeholders and will be part of the team that is highly collaborative, working together to engineer infrastructure solutions for Humana.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of technical experience in data analysis OR Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience

3 or more years of extensive Power BI development

4 or more years of Data Modeling and Database experience

3 or more years in Data Migration, and working with API and ETL tools

Experience implementing dashboards and reports with enterprise-wide impact

Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction

Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in a Technical Field

Experience working in Agile framework

Experience in Microsoft ADO

Leadership/management experience

Ability to develop custom code components in C# or JavaScript to perform a complex calculation or integrate the Power Platform with an external system

Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling

Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages

Accountabilities

Build Power BI dashboards and reports

Evaluate business requests for new or modified capabilities to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current systems, and computer capabilities

Analyze business requirements into technical requirements for reporting/visualizations, data models, and databases. Review technical specifications derived from technical requirements.

Provide detailed source analysis and data mappings/transformations to implement new data sources and integrations.

Provide advise on DB Architectural Design

Design, develop and maintain APIs and ETLs

Data migration

Quality assurance on all deliverables

Auditing DBs regularly to maintain quality

Automate existing data maintenance procedures

Track changes/requests in ADO

Coordinating with leaders and other team members to reach project milestones and deadlines
