Primary Job Duties/ Tasks
This resource will primarily be tasked with performing data integration activities including, but not limited to, the following: Analyze and develop data quality, cleansing, migration, and conversion requirements
Plan, design, implement, and support data cleansing, migration, and conversion work efforts
Validate data after data cleansing and data conversion efforts
Analyze data requirements and develop logical and physical data models
Implement database objects in support of approved data models
Develop and maintain technical metadata
Develop and maintain procedures and documentation
Assist with training/mentoring other technical staff
Data Analyst:
Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities DB2 for z/OS
Oracle 10g and above
MS SQL Server
Azure SQL
Experience with cleansing and migrating data from legacy platforms to cloud infrastructure
Experience with data integration tools including Informatica
Experience with data modeling
Experience with technical metadata tools including CA Repository and Informatica ED
Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of data analysis
Ability to work independently in the technical analysis, evaluation and resolution of large enterprise data integration/migration/conversion issues or problems, with little or no assistance, and to make decisions and recommendations to remediate those issues or problem
Knowledge of Relational Database Management principles, design, and practices
Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and prioritize work assignments both individually and for the support team
Skill in accurately estimating required effort for activities
Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS
Advanced knowledge of Oracle 10g and higher
Advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server and Azure SQL
Knowledge of data integration and metadata tools including Informatica
Communication: Have the ability to clearly convey information, in both written and verbal formats, to individuals or groups in a wide variety of settings (i.e.; project team meetings, management presentations, etc.). Must have the ability to effectively listen and process information provided by others
Customer Service: Works well with clients and customers (i.e.; business office, public, or other agencies). Able to assess the needs of the customer, provide information or assistance to satisfy expectations or resolve a problem
