Videography Manager, Marketing and Brand Management
The University of Montana invites applicants for a Videography Manager to artistically and creatively manage UM’s Marketing and Brand Management Sector in video content. The Videography Manager will be responsible for the overall production of video content at the University published across UM channels, while maintaining the high-level integrity of the UM brand and visual identity. The position will oversee video staff, manage projects and equipment, video workflow, and have a leadership role in creative strategy and storytelling. The role will define and execute visual storytelling on behalf of the institution’s academic, intellectual, and public impact.
Reporting to the Director of Content and Creative Strategy, the Videography Manager will produce a diverse range of video assets and will creatively work across UM’s communications and marketing staff to support brand storytelling and journalism, UM administration communications, enrollment marketing and video content that shares the unique outcomes of UM. The position will oversee and advise video content, production and coverage for UM and Grizzly Athletics.
Video content from this position will be shared within:
Documentary, advertising, and social media videography styles
Branding campaigns and related TV/Social media video add creation
Special events packages
UM Athletics
Other video materials and products to meet the University’s communications and marketing needs.
Because the individual assigned to this position will be in contact with various contacts across campus as well as off-site vendors, this position requires an ability to maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive information, tact, sensitivity, and professionalism.
The person assigned to this position is responsible for the management or supervision of two classified staff members and a part-time intern.

Position Details
Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, MUS Contract and includes a comprehensive and competitive
benefits package

Salary for this position is $59000- $62000 per year commensurate with qualifications.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field, as well as at least five (5) years of work experience; or any combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premier, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Aftereffects)
Understanding and use of the Sony Cinema Camera Suite
Expert video skills
Proficient computer skills
Work closely with the Photography manager to coordinate assets/coverage.
Knowledge of design, creation and production of motion graphics
Knowledge of the creative process in order to effectively gauge workloads and manage deadlines
Excellent organization and communication skills
Unwavering attention to detail and deadlines
Ability to multitask between small and large-scale projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented atmosphere
Ability to communicate ideas to colleagues and clients in an articulate, professional manner
Collaborative spirit and excellent people skills
Ability to treat a person, place or program via video storytelling
Ability to mentor student video intern(s).
Ability to take direction and work in a creative team environment, as well as work on projects independently
