Work you’ll do

The Lead Software Engineer will support a unique cloud-scale modeling and simulation platform that is a recent patent recipient. The candidate will join a team of high-performing physicists, engineers, and data scientists to continue the development of an industry first capability for performing what-if simulations at massive scale.

The Simulation Engineer will also lead the development of major features and implementations, including helping to design the architecture for those features. They will be coding, testing, documenting, and helping to ensure successful deployment of that code. Reviewing pull requests from other engineers will be commonplace, as will pair programming and other light mentorship duties. Our product and technical leaders collaborate frequently with engineers and will expect them to provide insightful feedback on the process, architecture, implementation, and quality of the product. Finally, troubleshooting issues in a timely manner is critical to ensuring the stability of the platform and our client implementations.

Together with the Strategy practice, our Strategy & Analytics portfolio helps clients transform their business by architecting organizational intelligence programs and differentiated strategies to win in their chosen markets.

Analytics & Cognitive will work with our clients to:

• -{PS..0}->Implement large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights leveraging cloud-based platforms

• -{PS..1}->Leverage automation, cognitive and science-based techniques to manage data, predict scenarios and prescribe actions

• -{PS..2}->Drive operational efficiency by maintaining their data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise and providing As-a-Service offerings for continuous insights and improvements

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• -{PS..3}->Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or business-related field

• -{PS..4}->4 years of professional application development experience

• -{PS..5}->4 years of experience with Object Oriented Programming, preferably Java

• -{PS..6}->4 years of development experience within cloud environment (AWS GCP, Azure)

• -{PS..7}->4 years of experience with agile software development

• -{PS..8}->Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Skills:

• -{PS..9}->Prior professional services or federal consulting experience

• -{PS..10}->2 years DevOps experience

• -{PS..11}->Strong written and verbal communication skills

• -{PS..12}->Strong organizational skills

• -{PS..13}->Ability to work with both technical and functional resources
