Job Description
The IT Project Manager 2 will lead the IT M&A Security Remediation project management team. This role will actively manage stakeholder partnerships with a focus on mitigating risks to Humana through acquisitions. The ideal candidate will become familiar with the systems in scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities across the team. When managing programs, oversees the interdependencies and integration of interrelated projects, sets strategies and leads program execution to deliver longer term business value. This role will identify the appropriate resources needed, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of acquisition Security Remediation projects. Can possess specialized knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks used to manage risks and issues unique to technology projects. Understands department, segment, organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their connections to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures set forth by IT M&A Security Leadership.
Required Qualifications
Innovative thinker with a strong ability to manage internal and external resources, remotely and on-site, while cultivating strong cross-functional relationships.
Working knowledge with Information Security Risk Management, Audit Remediation, along with Vulnerability Assessments.
Experience in management of various security-focused projects, facilitating planning and prioritization of complex cybersecurity initiatives across a large organization.
Working experience in closing audit gaps and/or areas of improvement identified by IT Security or Vulnerability assessments, including but limited to; remediation plan creation, resource allocation to accommodate remediation execution, prioritization alignment to broader IT integration planning, evidence collection of remediated risk and audit issue tracking to closure.
Proven leadership capability. Professional history of governing contracted staff, including but limited to; screening applicants, training new team members on roles/responsibilities, monitoring and metrics on team performance, identification and reeducation of soft-spots within team skillsets and advising on capacity and capability of existing resources.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or a related field
At least 7 years of technical experience
Advanced skillsets within Microsoft Excel, Project or additional Project Management toolsets
Proven ability to host and manage meetings with Leadership and subject matter experts, keeping focus on the meeting's true intent to drive desired outcomes
Must have the capability to translate highly technical conversation amongst subject matter experts into actionable items and notes, to drive progression of project management activities
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree, equivalent certification and/or experience
Experience in or familiarity with the Merger and Acquisition (M&A) processes
Six Sigma and/or Project Management Institute certification
Experience in the Healthcare or the Health Solutions industry
