As a Development Manager in Insights as a Service organization, you will be primarily responsible for managing a team and projects that deliver core Analytics Platform capabilities for Tyson Foods. This position will also be responsible for managing support and delivery of Master Data IT solutions by partnering with Managed Service providers.

Job Summary:

You will collaborate with other analysts and business partners within IT to examine business processes and solve gaps and inefficiencies in the design of solutions. You will be a leader of your organization working with technical team members and managed service provider partners to manage development and support projects in the Insights as a Service Area including core Analytics platforms and Master Data Management IT Systems

This role will work with key IT stakeholders to manage the project demand intake process; uses the provided framework and governance of resource and capacity management; tracks, reports and communicates key metrics around portfolio health, spend and strategic alignment and supports a continuous planning process. Assists in developing and administering an IT project and product portfolio that is aligned to Tyson Food’s business strategies and technology initiatives.

Partnering with vendors and managed service providers, this position will oversee day to day execution of key analytics platforms development and maintenance efforts. This role will also Report and communicate portfolio metrics to IT Insights Leadership and stakeholders. This position will facilitate effective resource utilization and capacity planning for current and future projects across IT teams for both Tyson Team members as well as managed service partners. Support continuous improvement and increased development and support efficiencies. Coordinate changes by aligning the service management teams Business Unit Partners to the IT wide strategy including directing the change management process.

Critical Skills:

Familiarity with Master Data Management It Platforms – preferably Oracle-based

Knowledge of GCP cloud and infrastructure, BigQuery, DataPrep, AtScale and PowerBI a plus

Strong software engineering and devops skills

Sound analytical and programming skills

Strong drive and leadership to resolve issues by working with multiple stakeholders

Familiarity with support processes including ITIL framework desirable

People Management – experience with managing mid size teams for at least 3 years

Experience:

Project Management or Service Management experience

Bachelor’s and 10 years’ experience in a software development/ engineering environment

Experience with cloud native technologies, specifically GCP and related analytics solutions

MDM platforms experience a definite plus
