ENSCO, Inc. is a leading supplier of cutting-edge railway track measurement and imaging systems that are used to inspect railroad track to ensure safety and efficient operations. ENSCO’s Applied Technology & Engineering (ATE) division has an immediate need for a Systems Administrator to support its Automated Track Inspection Program (ATIP). Under ATIP, ENSCO operates and maintains a fleet of rail cars for the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). These cars employ ENSCO’s systems to assess the condition of the nation’s railroad network and ensure compliance with applicable track safety standards. ENSCO, Inc. is looking for a Systems Administrator to assist and support the planning, design, installation, implementation, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure services on ENSCO’s fleet of rail cars. This will include overseeing security vulnerabilities of the systems installed on the cars.Job Description:Configure, operate, and maintain systems to satisfy security requirements defined. Secure system integrity from any breaches or viruses and play an essential role in risk-mitigation planning, including creating backup plans, safeguards for data, user security policies, and identity management.Perform routine/scheduled field security scans, assessments on assets, audits of the systems, document results and advise management on results.Maintain system infrastructure requirements including, computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, security updates and employing the latest security protocolsManage user accounts, credentials, permissions, access rights, storage allocations, and active group policy directory administration.Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems.Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage servers and integrate automation processes.Anticipate, mitigate, and communicate any potential impact of changes to ensure the availability of services to our customers.Assist in documenting all changes and solutions to problems in a centralized knowledge base.Develop test plans and procedures for any new IT infrastructure or systems implementations.Troubleshooting and providing system-level technical support to employees.Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Information Systems, or other related fields or equivalent experience with a certificate in IT and a minimum of 3-5 experience working in a related role. Experience configuring and maintaining IT systems required on Windows and Linux.In-depth knowledge of Windows Core Services and Linux.Proficiency in written and oral communication to allow for efficient and effective exchanges with users and to produce quality written products.High availability to provide technical support.High level of attention to detail.Working Conditions/ Equipment:Work in tight spots under and about railway vehicles.Climb a 15-foot-high ladder to gain access to railroad vehicles.The position will require the ability to travel to all the rail cars on a quarterly basis (up to 50% travel).Clearance:The selected candidate may be required to submit to fingerprinting, drug screening, and additional background investigations in connection with this position.MCSA Certifications.Experience working in or managing an ISO 270001 or equivalent system.Experience implementing federal IT security controls as outlined in NIST SP 800-53/4 or other security frameworks.Experience with recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directory, and Multifactor authentication.Working knowledge of Python, Adobe, Office products, MySQL, Group Policy, and Applications Management.Experience with Anti-Virus software and Vulnerability assessment tools.Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team#LI-JV1ENSCO’s Applied Technology and Engineering (ATE) Division is a leading provider of surface transportation research and technology development services with a long history of supporting railway, transit, and highway safety initiatives.
