Job Description The IS&T DevOps Manager will help to define, deliver, and manage the lifecycle of the Dev-Ops team and support the delivery of one or more emerging products, this includes the creation of product roadmaps, identification of assumptions, managing of business and peer relationships, creation of user stories/epics, and identification of acceptance criteria. Additionally, you would also be responsible for actively participating in Veolia’s learning culture including coaching and mentoring staff, stakeholders, and peers.

● Work with our product owner community, as well as with the various Domain/Business and technology teams, to help create the product delivery strategy for products in our growing digital product portfolio.
● Support DevOps functions for Veolia’s transformation program including Release management, deployments, Environment management, End to End testing, Performance tests, etc.
● Collaborate with Solution Architects, Engineers, and other Product owners to make decisions.
● Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to a product development team with proven experience in data-driven decision-making.
● Clear passion for topics of technology products and ability to innovate within a product space
● Ability to be self-directed and proactively anticipate problems and seek solutions
● Experience working in Agile – Scrum and SAFE methodologies.
● Define and manage metrics to measure the success of your efforts and to inform the overall product strategy.
● Engage in discovery/test & learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and product direction.
● Provide input on decomposing complex problems into smaller manageable tasks by prioritizing execution of a backlog for the DevOps Team.
● Assist with managing the team/product backlog, contribute towards creating an effective vision and provide timely stakeholder feedback on development iterations.
● Ensure the successful execution of development standards to ensure tight feedback loops and clear product definition.
● Own the technical DevOps team, delivery measures, and effectiveness (team performance) including People/Talent Management (career development, succession planning, performance calibrations, Human Capital Plan maintenance, resource allocation, hiring)
● Manage DevOps team in an Agile methodology.
● Develop and maintain effective DevOps reporting to the Business and Domain leaders.
● Experience in leading teams to implement solutions on a Cloud-based platform.
● Knowledge of publishing APIs using API management tools and gateways such as Google Cloud-APIGEE or similar products and Swagger, Javascript, python
● Experience with delivering APIs to the Marketplace
● Experience operating in an environment driven by KPIs where you had the accountability to determine the best course of action to meet your goals
Qualifications Education / Experience / Background
● Undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, or related experience
● 10 years of technology experience with a min of 5 years experience in a fast-paced organization performing as a Software Development Manager, with strong DevOps and or software development background.
● 5 years people management experience required
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
● Excellent verbal; written communication; and people skills
● Entrepreneurial with a strong inclination towards action, preferably with experience shipping software.
● A high-energy, expert communicator with both technical and non-technical team members, brimming with positive, proactive energy and dynamic leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams
● Hungry for knowledge and understanding of both technical and business details
● High level of maturity; comfortable leading meetings with people of all ages and backgrounds
● Ability to proactively anticipate problems and seek opportunities
● Strong understanding of Release management and environmental planning and management in distributed and PCF and hybrid cloud environments.
● Strong understanding of API gateway, API protocols, API management console, and API Documentation creation
● Experience in leading teams to implement solutions on a Cloud-based platform.
● Prioritizing work with multiple product teams across large organizations
● Clear passion for topics of technology products and ability to innovate within a product space
● An effective manager with the desire to cultivate leadership and high performance in the team you lead
● A data-driven decision-maker who blends sound business judgment with strong analytical thinking
Required Certification / Licenses / Training
● AWS Certified DevOps Engineer a plus
● Google’s Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer a plus
