Description

The Lead, Business Systems Analysis performs analysis of business, process and user needs, documentation of requirements, cost/benefit analysis and translation into proper system requirement specifications. The Lead, Business Systems Analysis works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities

The Lead, Business Systems Analysis formulates and defines systems and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Devises or modifies procedures and processes to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Validates benefits achieved from solution implementation. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

8 or more years of technical experience

2 or more years of project leadership experience

Demonstrated experience with process documentation and re-engineering

Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders

Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Visio

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

3 years of pharmacy claims experience

Understanding of how medical data can influence pharmacy claims processing

1 year of experience querying a data warehouse and understanding data structures

1 year of RxNova claims processing experience

Basic understanding of clinical policies and influence on pharmacy claims processing

Minimum 1 year of experience creating and executing queries in SPLUNK

1-2 years of experience analyzing and troubleshooting system issues

Experience gathering requirements from business and documenting in a way that IT can easily interpret into technical stories

Experience identifying, writing and executing user acceptance test cases

Vendor management experience

Proven leadership in software improvements and implementation

1-3 years experience as an intermediary between business and IT (requires both business and IT experience)

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or other Advanced Degree

Six Sigma certification

Experience producing metrics, measurements and trend reports

Experience in problem analysis and process
