Responsibilities
The Technology Solution Implementation Professional gathers and documents business system and functional requirements, influences system design to optimize support and ensures solutions meet the business objectives and requirements. Completes and/or coordinates implementation of design and requirements, testing, operational readiness, and transition to the appropriate production support team. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Liaison between business and IT development team which includes root cause analysis of issues reported by business, gaining a full understanding of business needs/impacts, and being able to clearly communicate all issues to IT in order to resolve matters effectively
Story writing - Includes active engagement in business discussions around new enhancements/processes to understand business needs, writing IT stories, gaining business approvals, grooming with IT, and updating tracking as development occurs
Lead cross-functional testing groups through the process of developing test strategies, executing test cases, and gaining sign off at each stage of a release
Will also include managing test plans and cases, tracking defects through to resolution, and ensuring full test team is engaged in testing efforts
Subject matter expertise in the way systems operate, underlying data processing steps, backend system tools, and manual system processes
Required Qualifications
1 year previous testing experience (ie. system, negative, load, etc)
Prior experience working with Business partners to develop solutions to moderate to complex problems
Knowledge of the development life cycle and proven ability to adhere to project deadlines
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications with an emphasis on Excel
Aptitude for learning new tools, techniques, concepts, and technologies
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business administration, information technology, related field
Master's Degree of Business Administration
SQL experience
Experience in creating test strategies and leading testing initiatives
Familiarity with Q-Test
Experience in story writing
Knowledge of the Agile methodology
