The Lead Solutions Architect is an opportunity to join the Tech Advancement team within Humana to build a world class enterprise data & technology platforms and capability leveraging digital-first platforms, public cloud and agile development methodologies.
We are seeking a talented Lead Solutions Architect with experience building technology products in public cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure & GCP. This role will involve using appropriate cloud services, technologies, tools, methodologies and solutions to make sure that the architecture is robust, integrated and aligned with the strategy and long-term objectives of the organization. This role will also involve working with other enterprise architects & experts, reviewing/selecting enterprise technology tools and processes, designing solutions and overseeing the delivery of those solutions.
Responsibilities
The Lead Solutions Architect translates business needs into technical systems solutions. Integrates hardware, software and network interfaces to form a system. Advises executives to develop functional strategies on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action. Works with user groups to solve business problems with available technology including hardware, software, databases, and peripherals. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications. Participates in all remaining phases of product development to verify that the design is installed, configured and documented correctly. Choose and adeptly use appropriate cloud services, technologies, tools, methodologies and solutions to make sure that the architecture is robust, integrated and aligned with the strategy and long-term objectives of the organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
8 or more years of technical experience directly related to architecture/engineering, creating solution blueprints and other architectural artifacts
Experience with Azure and/or GCP cloud platform and/or have great understanding of other public cloud computing architectures and services
Experience using technologies like Kafka, StreamSets, MongoDB and architecture patterns including APIs, Micro-services, event driven architecture, server less computing
Knowledge one of the major leading cloud data store offerings
Strong verbal and written communications experience with experience using visual technical tools
Partner with business and IT leaders and architects to provide direction and architectural strategy advice on complex and dynamic use cases
Experience working in Agile workplace with latest devOps tools and principles
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Master Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
Architecture Certification in one of the leading cloud platforms, Azure is preferred
Experience in Healthcare/Insurance Domain
Experience working in Azure DevOps setting
Experience working in Scaled Agile environment
Experience with Splunk and cloud logging and monitoring
Additional Information:
Will report to the Principal Solutions Architect, IT - Business Data Analytics
