Humana is seeking a Lead Application Architect for the industry leading Wellness and rewards platform, Go365. Join us and play a key role in this exciting journey to transform and modernize our Wellness application.

Responsibilities

The Lead Application Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Responsibilities

This role will also perform end to end strategy and delivery of products and services impacting distributed environments, cloud and on premise services. Candidate should have an aptitude to design and lead robust technical solutions which impacts millions of users.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

Define architectural road-maps, strategy and communicate vision and approach

Lead collaborative discussions and propose architectural solutions to other architects and leaders

Experience with Java based technologies or similar, Messaging, Web Services, APIs

Cloud native engineering and experience with a cloud provider

Strong database skills: RDMBS/NoSQL

Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and participate in code and design reviews

Experience with secure coding and quality practices

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Be able to work with cross-functional teams

1 cloud experience, preferably in Azure

Being able to design complex cloud and on premise solutions

7 years experience as a Lead engineer in large and complex IT projects

4 years of progressive experience in Application Architecture and Design

Preferred Qualifications

Visible Architecture

Cloud certification

Experience designing applications with Spring Frameworks and Java application servers/containers, Maven/Gradle

Test driven development

Successful implementation of Event driven architecture using Kafka or similar

Experience with Apache Spark or similar

Hands-on DevOps experience

DynaTrace, DCRUM, SolarWind, and other APM technologies

Database background: Oracle, MySQL, Mongo, Redis

Familiar with Agile methodology: Scrum, SAFe or others.
