Daily tasks will include: Participate in daily standups and meetings to plan for and implement new development of the OP New Professions System (NPS)

Provide technical leadership and direction for developing the architecture of Java 8 systems using the Spring Framework stack (Spring Boot 2 ).

Review development tasks to ensure compliance with architectural decisions that must meet Department ITS standards

Provide direction to Quality Assurance and ensure significant test coverage using Junit and ArchUnit

Work directly with lead technical architect to assist with making architectural decisions that align to business requirements, and help to assign tasks to subordinates

Perform code reviews and oversee releases

Systems Architect:

Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.

Expert 84 Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. 84 months experience leading technical architecture development for Java Web Applications leveraging Spring technologies.

84 months experience developing and implementing data migrations within Relational Databases

72 months experience with facilitating communication in all aspects of the project including meetings between vendors and staff, writing for executive level leadership, and presenting in both written and verbal form to large groups.

60 months experience developing RESTful web applications and leveraging client-side technologies to interact with RESTful APIs.

60 months experience leading Web Development Teams by making architectural decisions after analyzing business requirements, assigning tasks to subordinates, performing code reviews, and overseeing releases.

60 months experience using the Atlassian toolset, such as JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

60 months of experience working directly with project plan to adjust expected timeframes and identify issues and risks.
