The Senior Application Architect designs and develops IT applications architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. The Senior Application Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Application Architect designs and develops IT applications architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. This individual will be focused mainly on Tableau, QlikView, QlikSense, and Power BI. The Lead Application Architect works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities

Expected to help drive HPE initiatives, including moving to cloud where possible.

Lead designs and develops IT applications architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards.

Work closely with business and enterprise to provide the most appropriate solutions to solve the need.

Solves problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications.

Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications.

Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.

Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision. Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Lead and mentor team members.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent.

4 or more experience as a senior developer in large IT projects

Prior project lead experience

Expereince in BI technologies and intergration with ML/AI (data science) platformsUnderstand BI Industry trend and strategyIn depth data concepts with ETLs, data visualization, data structures

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Experience with Azure cloud platform, Azure DevOps platform, Automation via CI/CD pipelines, or have solid understanding of other public cloud computing architectures and services

Experience using Agile, Lean, SAFe, DevOps, DataOps, DevSecOps delivery practices and methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

Cloud Developer or Cloud Engineer certification (Azure preferred)

Desire to mentor and guide other engineers

Extensive knowledge and understanding of security issues, techniques, and implications across multiple platforms

Pair programming, continuous integration, test-driven development & incremental design concepts

Demonstrated experience leading and developing others by providing technical guidance and leadership to business partners and project teams
