SAP MM/PP Business Analyst

Our client located just north of O’Hare in greater Chicagoland is a privately held manufacturing firm that has been in business since 1925, owns a 60% domestic market share, is ISO 9001 certified and has been voted one of Chicago’s top 101 places to work the past three years. Very progressive but smaller SAP team which means teamwork and flexibility are key ingredients of the potential Business Analyst. This is a very progressive SAP shop on ECC 6.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior MM/PP Analyst

to join our team. The Sr. Analyst will play a key role in developing and delivering innovative SAP based solutions. This role will be responsible for leading the design, development, and customization of SAP-MM/PP and Purchasing related initiatives. Additionally, the position is responsible for identifying business process improvement opportunities leveraging technology and supporting organizational change. Role will also support internal customers/managers and other team members in implementing standard SAP based capabilities needed to deliver solutions to business problems.

Representative Duties

· Lead threads of projects and initiatives to deploy new functionality and/or enhance existing functionality

· Assists others in the organization with SAP knowledge at a level of understanding appropriate to their job function

· Provide routine support to SAP users

· Adhere to and contribute to GIS processes, procedures and policies, as well as expanding internal GIS knowledge on the processes

· Maintain a current awareness of SAP product developments and trends and determine how they can be used to enhance productivity

· Good understanding of Project methodology (ASAP) and participation in all phases

Requirements:

· Bachelor degree or equivalent, MBA a plus

· Formal SAP training in MM/PP/Purchasing

· 5 years MM/PP/Purchasing hands-on configuration experience (ECC 6.0 experience desired) and support of a live SAP production client

· Understanding of Production Planning, Materials Management and Procure to Pay

· At least 2 full cycle SAP implementation project with hands-on project experience designing, testing and implementing MM/PP and solutions

· · Understanding of integration points of MM/PP with SD/FI and other modules

· Able to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data or situations requires evaluation of identifiable factors including process decomposition, root cause analysis, gap analysis, and blueprint definition.

·· Ability to travel to locations within China and internationally
