Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Specialist Senior, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Los Angeles, CA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Specialist Senior, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering: Designing, implementing, and operating solutions for custom-developed systems, platform integration, and application modernization to enable core business capabilities. Participating in setting engagement objectives and scope, planning and cost estimation through requirements, design, development, testing, implementation and production. Performing assessments of existing information systems, and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Functioning as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions by helping to create technology solutions to meet clients' business needs. Defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, processing design, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementation. Creating test cases and performing functional, non-functional, system integration, black-box, white-box, and end-to-end testing of software applications. Researching user reported issues, identifying root causes and resolutions, implementing fixes, and liaising between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams. Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development. Translating business needs into associated technical requirements and understanding solutions that will incorporate these requirements. Assisting software Quality Assurance (QA) testing teams in developing and implementing software testing processes to deliver on-time software releases with quality. Analyzing and finalizing the test plans associated with the complex requirements. Performing extensive test execution during various phases of software development lifecyle to find and log defects. Creating and providing testing related reports to senior management and other project stakeholders. Performing thorough requirement analysis to create test artifacts and test strategies/test cases. Performing test case management for all the test cases created for releases in HP - Quality Center. Developing automation test frameworks for web applications using open source tools, including Selenium. Using Jenkins, Maven and Java for test automation Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) implementation.

80% travel required nationally.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), CIS, MIS, any STEM degree field, or a related field. Two years of experience in the offered position or a position in a related occupation. Must have two years of experience with:

Assisting software Quality Assurance (QA) testing teams in developing and implementing software testing processes to deliver on-time software releases with quality;

Analyzing and finalizing the test plans associated with the complex requirements;

Performing extensive test execution during various phases of software development lifecyle to find and log defects;

Creating and providing testing related reports to senior management and other project stakeholders;

Performing thorough requirement analysis to create test artifacts and test strategies/test cases;

Performing test case management for all the test cases created for releases in HP - Quality Center;

Developing automation test frameworks for web applications using open source tools, including selenium;

Using Jenkins, Maven and Java for test automation Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) implementation.

In the alternative, employer will accept 3 years of university study and 3 years of related work experience. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.

80% travel required nationally.
