Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Collaborate with business and functional partners and technology leadership in defining features backlog and specifying requirements

Drive technology discussion and strategy in line with business needs and company reference architecture

Define execution plan and approach based on project scope, expected timeline and available budget/resources

Facilitate convergence of functional and technical knowledge and build project teams

Work with globally located technical team often comprising of members of separate organizations to coordinate day-to-day execution as per outlined plan

Cooperate with and manage external vendors as required. Manage procurement and onboarding process

Ensure pre-defined project management processes and practices are followed. Drive simplification and improvement as necessary

Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Partner with technical and functional teams external to the project to ensure their tasks are completed as required

Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project

Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting

Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching stakeholder expectations

Track project outcomes realization and customer satisfaction levels through established metrics against service level. Ensure lessons learned are collected

Understand the Technology deliverable Metrics and align all stakeholders in program execution

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Engineering

5 years of program management experience

10 years of professional experience

Desired Characteristics

The ideal candidate will have understanding of the components of a cloud infrastructure including, OS, applications, databases, networks, web, and application servers. Prior experience in managing programs around large-scale SaaS applications and cloud computing is highly desirable. Candidate must have great communication skills and work well in an open, collaborative, dynamic team environment.

5 years’ project/program management running large engineering programs. Experience delivering large scale security/compliance programs a plus.

3 years of experience working on process improvements and operational excellence projects.

2 years of pure technical experience such as programming, systems administration, hardware/software, networking, or DBA experience

Facilitation skills in leading planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives

Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills

Superior communications and presentation skill

The ability to identify high leverage activities. And the discipline to keep teams focused on those activities.

Strong customer orientation

Self-directed and proactive driver with the ability to operate autonomously

Exceptional organizational and planning skills

Excellent leadership and proven people skills

PMP and/or Agile certifications

Strong working knowledge of project planning tools Rally, Smartsheet or any other tools.
