SUMMARY
Arcticom, LLC a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a DBA. The DBA support development and maintain the database supporting an Agile portfolio management tool stack.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are

intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
Developing and advising on appropriate data platforms (ie: Structured, unstructured, blob, etc.).
Coordinating with product teams on best practices for their appropriate data structures, maintenance and configurations.
Configuring various database platforms for COTS, Open-Source and custom developed applications.
Tuning database performance.
Coordinating with BI personnel for reporting data locations, structures, and access.
Work with DevOps, Service Desk and Product Team members to establish monitoring metrics and thresholds for appropriate systems to ensure system uptime and appropriate capacity planning.

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Five (5) or more years of experience in database administration…
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related discipline or 5-10 years equivalent experience
Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; requires US Citizenship
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate technical and business information effectively to both technical and non-technical people
Ability to understand our business, be a team player and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment
Strong problem solving/decision-making skills
Experience leading and influencing others, including senior level personnel
Process design and implementation
Demonstrated analytical skills
Strong collaboration skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Typical work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time). Job may require additional hours. Work hours may change at Management’s discretion with or without prior notice. Travel (local and continental United States) may be required at the determination of the USAF.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a non-supervisory position
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
