SUMMARY

Global Technical Service. LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a Product Designer in support of the Air Force (AF) Logistics IT (LogIT) Portfolio. We are looking for a .NET developer/programmer experience that is highly a motivated, self-starter and a change agent to design automated processes in support of Agile portfolio management and development within Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for Analyze customer needs and negotiate with users.  Communicate overall design and approach to development team of programmers; create flowcharts, diagrams, other models, and programming instructions to guide programming team.  Review requirement and design changes, determine what parts of software are affected, and direct programming to meet requirements; determine specific components of Develop test scenarios and test cases; review results of test cases and make adjustments, as needed, to meet requirements Document all aspects of software, for ongoing maintenance and revisions.  Collaborate with other IT specialists, technicians, etc., to deliver software solutions.  Document design of software development programs within the established CI/CD pipeline

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

5 years of product design experience

Bachelors college degree

Must be US Citizen​

Must have or be able to attain a SECRET security clearance

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lead a diverse team of programmers/technicians

Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels

Detail oriented, yet creative

Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills needed

Preferred

Agile experience

Computer Science Degree

SECRET security clearance

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting.  Typical work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m (Central Time). Job may require additional hours. Work hours may change at Management’s discretion with or without prior notice.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a non-supervisory position

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
