Description
Humana's Claims Payment and Policy organization is looking for an experienced Data and Reporting Professional to join the Claims Data and Business Intelligence team working 100% from home anywhere in the U.S.
Responsibilities
This Senior Data and Reporting Professional will generate ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for the Claims Payment and Policy's operational areas using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts. Key responsibilities include:
Collect and analyze data using advanced methodologies and tools
Integrate data from multiple sources (which may include: EDW, DB2, SQL Server or merging claims, provider and member data) to produce requested or required data elements
Program and maintain report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources using Tableau, Qlik and Power BI reporting tools
Create specifications for reports based on business requests
Analyze and prepare interpretations of data to develop conclusions
Provide guidance and make recommendations that influence business outcomes based on analysis of developed reporting
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent data reporting work experience
5 years of technical experience in data reporting
Experience with Tableau, Qlik and/or Power BI for creating data visualizations
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including ability to link pivots to external data sources, creating pivot tables and summarizing data into reports and dashboards
Experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations and/or the analysis of healthcare data
Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple or competing priorities
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Work at Home/Remote Requirements
Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings
Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Experience with SQL Server
Experience in a system analytics and/or data warehousing environment
