Job Summary

As a Senior Manager, Enterprise Technical Product Owner on the Enterprise Solutions team, you will help coordinate, prioritize, weigh, and present to executive leadership what is generated from and requested of software development team. The Technical Product Organization plays a meaningful role in software development planning including adapting to frequent changes in priorities and objectives. The TPO is a planning organization that helps translate between technical software development teams and a large variety of business partners. Members of TPO work to collect and understand business requirements from partners and translate and refine those requirements for the software development organizations. The TPO works to organize all work within the Chief Information Officer's domain constituting a considerable amount of all Comcast development resources. The role involves conversing with multiple levels of the business and development leadership from development leads and project managers through Vice Presidents and the CIO / CTO of Comcast. Frequently, a TPO will be called upon to help tackle problems and prepare alternatives within the different parts of the Comcast organization and between them. It is an exciting opportunity to talk with both sides of the organization to develop understanding and commonality.

Job Description

About the Team:

Enterprise Solutions organization develops and supports tools, systems, and platforms that support internal employees and contractors across a wide gamut. This includes leading software, development, and integrations supporting user network and tools access, multiple Intranet sites, payroll and finance software, supply chain logistics software, general collaboration and software development collaboration tools and systems. A TPO in Enterprise solutions will coordinate a multitude of development asks for the suite of Enterprise tools, platforms, and software through to the development teams while adding context to the request from the business partner. The TPO will also learn about each of the multiple internal objectives of the Enterprise Solutions team and help align and prioritize internal needs with those from external requests. The team is determined to build and create an environment where our employees feel valued, understand our business goals, and are motivated to help meet them.

What are some interesting problems you'll be working on?

This role is responsible for coordinating with leaders at many levels, cataloguing and collecting feedback, and becoming a source of knowledge across a wide breath of Comcast platforms and processes. It will entail tackling a challenging set of seemingly conflicting requests and finding ways to harmonize them into a story which can then be reiterated to multiple levels across the organization. You will meet some of the most influential individuals in the organization and it will be important to confidently present them that a plan that you helped bring together is the right one.

What You'll Do:

Researches, designs and develops corporate, division and/or region level projects that deliver cost-efficient services to support the Company's business objectives.

Works with various senior managers and leaders to lay out project implementation guidelines and plan for personnel and/or other resource requirements.

Facilitate prioritization of business and technical imperatives within and across domains (Inter, Intra, all TIs)

Along with Architect and Product Managers, drive Program Backlog refinement, prioritization, and design

Leads projects of major importance to overall business operations.

Acts as a liaison for stakeholder requests to the domains / sub-domain teams

Define contents of delivery requests to meet business objectives

Ensure planning tooling adheres to portfolio management standards

Prepares and handles budget(s) and financial targets.

Directs project teams in the development and implementation of project plans.

Maintains project reports and distribution of project timelines.

Instructs team on project-specific assignments.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

5 years of program or project management experience in a software development organization

Direct experience in software development coding preferred

Good communicator and able to clearly articulate sophisticated issues and technologies

Ability to communicate to highly technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ability to negotiate conflicting priorities and partner demands while remaining neutral

Comfortable working in a constantly evolving environment and being flexible to changes
