The Senior Software Engineer- API codes software applications based on business requirements. The Senior Software Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

In this role, you will directly work with key client stakeholders to define the business problem and determine solution requirements for our Medicare/Medicaid NextGen Product Platform. You will be responsible for ensuring business value and communicating outcomes. You'll be part of a dynamic agile team to architect, implement, test and continuously deliver new features and products to our customers.
The Senior Software Engineer standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes. Researches complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field of study or in any of the STEM branches.
8 or more years of full SDLC experience with open systems (Java or .NET) software applications in a large IT Organization.
5 or more years of technical experience with IBM WODM Rules Engine technology as a senior developer or engineer
Proven current work experience with business rules harvesting, analysis, design, development, configuration, testing, deployment, and support of rule services and rule flows
Proficiency in decision logic constructs and structures such as rules tables, decision trees, expressions, etc.
Hands on experience in integration of rules applications with upstream/downstream systems, orchestrations involving messaging/workflows/queuing, transformations, Web Services, SOA/API, Microservices, RDBMS, SoapUI, etc.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across varying levels of personnel
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in the relevant field of study
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Release Pipelines, Automated Testing.
Hands on development experience with middleware integration products such as IBM Datapower, IIB.
