As a member of the Member Administration Platform team you will help us transform our enrollment process and ensure the highest level of care for our customers. This team will have a large focus on technology modernization but also a focus on culture and operations - to embrace modern cloud-based technologies and engineering, agile ways of working & Agile methodologies, Devops, and a culture that is focused on enterprise leadership, our customers and our associates.

The Senior Full Stack Engineer Performs software engineering activities in all layers of the stack, from setting up the database to programming in the back-end and the appearance at the front-end. The Senior Full Stack Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Full Stack Engineer Performs software engineering activities in all layers of the stack, from setting up the database to programming in the back-end and the appearance at the front-end. The Senior Full Stack Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Senior Full Stack Engineer Is involved in all stages of software development, including front-end development, back-end development, database integrations, network and hosting management, user interface, user experience, and back-end server management. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

In support of our MAP applications, the ideal candidate will partner with other associates to analyze, develop, implement and integrate moderate and complex business systems that will optimize business outcomes. The applicant will be required to perform analysis of requirements, development of code, and support User Acceptance Testing. Coding will require the use of Oracle DB, Oracle OHI, Groovy, Micro Services, JavaScript, Kafka, Azure Devops, Terraform, streamsets, APIC, NodeJS, Kubernetes, Python and supporting batch and real time communications. In addition to these duties front end development will be required to support and enhance user interfaces developed for our business users to support monitoring and reviewing outbound communications. Finally, the applicant will be expected to support occasional after hours support in support of our systems.

Provide development and ongoing software support and issue resolution

Build a standards-driven, scalable, secure and dynamic portal for the information delivery of specific based applications

Partner with other business areas within Humana to understand application requirements and develop programming specifications for development staff

Develop enhancements, resolve issues, coordinate testing of statement releases and oversee regular production efforts including DevOps activities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications and/or infrastructure

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Additional Information

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.

Work-At-Home Requirements

* WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

* A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
