We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include the design, development, and maintenance of innovative web applications through translation of the UI/UX design wireframes. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides to help define how the application looks as well as how it works.

Web Development Tasks - building reusable, clean and sustainable solutions for programming, analysis, problem resolution, and libraries

Perform testing, validation and verification of website and web applications developed by you and others.

Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

Optimize web applications for maximum performance and scalability

Build customer data input validation services and applications

Develop WordPress plugins, themes and other solutions when needed

Develop cross platform mobile applications using technologies like Ionic, React and more

Utilize, create, and modify graphic assets for use in development

Develop using mobile-first and responsive design methodologies

Develop modern progressive web applications using team standards and industry best practices

Collaborate with other team members, project leads, project managers and clients

Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

Every front-end developer is expected to have a proficient knowledge of JavaScript, while most front-end developers should know jQuery. Also, developers are not expected to understand all frontend and backend frameworks, languages, etc. So long as you understand a few of them and the general concepts we can work with you on training, etc.

Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3

Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS

Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery, Angular, Ionic, React, Vue and others

Good understanding of OOP PHP and modern programming principles and tools such as composer, Laravel, etc.

Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

Good Understanding of tools such as Illustrator or Photoshop.

Ability to multi-task and maintain scope, budget and schedule on projects 

Great quality management and organizational skills 

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written 

Ability to work effectively with peers, managers, and others 

Ability to remain agile and handle multiple projects and deadlines efficiently

Must have excellent problem-solving skills and love technical challenges 

Maintain a positive approach to executing work, solving problems and handling multiple client deadlines

Maintain a positive approach in a dynamic working environment where client needs and deadlines can change quickly.

Requirements Education / Experience

Minimum 5 years professional experience. Minimum of 3 years Front End Development experience.

Desired Education/Experience

Degree in Computer science, Interactive design, interactive media or similar 

Experience in some of the following areas is required: Java, C , C, C#, or similar object-oriented languages

Web-centric technologies and programming languages (e.g., ActionScript, Flex, JavaScript, ASP.Net, XML, Web APIs such as REST and SOAP)

Server-side Scripting languages (e.g., PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby)

Experience with MySQL or SQLite, SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL

Experience with Wordpress, preferably with plugin development experience

Some experience with spatial databases: such as ESRI

Mobile: node.js, angular.js, Appery.io, Apache Cordova (PhoneGap) or similar app development framework

Some experience with real time 3D is desired: such as Three.js

Experience working with Bluehost and Microsoft Azure for web hosting
