Job Description
As a NoSQL Database Administrator on our team, you will support focuses on data architecture consulting, and database design. Some of the key activities of this position include:
• Moving structural changes through environments.
• Accessing method analysis.
• Application consulting.
• Performance tuning.
• Device allocation.
• Data organization.
• Security.
• Statistical analysis and optimization.
As part of the Database Administration team in a Fortune 10 company, you will work with a team of talented DBAs and systems engineers who are responsible for business-critical systems that utilize high availability solutions and where availability, reliability and stability are essential. You will help to ensure that all solutions of application and business issues are secure, compliant, and adhere to the minimum security baselines set forth by CVS Health.
You will utilize your knowledge and experience with security, backup, recovery, and archiving to make recommendations regarding process improvements for logical and physical data structures. You will forecast long-range requirements for database administration, while documenting the database environment and support processes.
You will be responsible for:
• Technology research and innovation to develop long term roadmap based on emerging trends in database technologies.
• Translating from business requirements to technical solution recommendations.
• Defining the process and best practices for managing users, platforms, and the intake process.
• Managing priorities, tools, and infrastructure within the database platform.
• Developing procedures to enable proactive planning and expansion of infrastructure based on usage and adoption.
• Defining and implementing success metrics for databases and adoption in partnership with IT and business owners.
• Creating messaging for the right audience, including technical, non-technical, and at varying levels, including executives.
• Managing issues/risks/dependencies for delivering on key milestones for platform and user enablement.
• Publishing best practices, decision tree on database platform selection, and define the strategic roadmap.
• Supporting user onboarding, training, adoption activities, and ensure appropriate and timely training.
• Collaborating and establish communication with business, analytics, and IT stakeholders.
• Accountable and responsible for adherence to Problem and Change Management processes including escalation procedures for critical problems.
• Providing leadership/direction for major projects assigned.
• Setting direction and standards for implementation of new technology as defined by CVS Health architectural Standards.
• Aligning technology currency with business objectives.
Skills You Bring:
• Understanding of architecture patterns to enable scalable solutions for analytics, data management, and engineering, and business intelligence
• Deep understanding of data lifecycle management (operational databases, warehouses, integration and governance, pipelining, analytics enablement, and reporting)
• Critical thinker with the ability to make decisions on technology aligned to business needs for analytics and data engineering functions
• Highly motivated, independent worker with a pulse on industry trends and best practices.
*Please note this position is available fully remote within the US and will need to be within the East and Central time zone.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 60,300
Maximum: 130,000
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications
• 5 years' experience in the Information Technology (IT) field.
• 3 years of experience with NoSQL and relevant tools such as data caching, and graph data, to name a few.
• 2 years of experience designing and solution engineering across cloud (GCP, Azure) and on-prem infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
• Data replication design and support experience in a complex computing environment.
• Extensive knowledge of the system development life cycle, systems, and application development alternatives.
• Ability to operate under pressure situations.
• Ability to analyze and debug production problems and reduce mean time to recover.
• Proficient in Ansible automation.
• Proficient in other automation toolsets like GIT, GITHUB, Jenkins, etc.
• Experience in database administration, engineering, and architecting.
• Experience in database identity access and vulnerability management.
• Experience in Application development.
• Experience in systems analysis and application development
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
