Description
Humana is seeking a Senior Application Architect who is curious and loves the challenge of solving problems that improve our members' health.
You will be part of our Enterprise Data and Services team which builds applications that deliver aggregated operational data used across the organization. This is a unique challenge which requires deep .Net architecture design experience and considerable influencing skills. Responsibilities
The Senior Application Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
This position will require a team member who is a good communicator, collaborates well with team and work across cross-functional Enterprise teams.
Some sample responsibilities of this position are:
Helping define and Implementing architectural design patterns
Creating architectural design documents
Making architectural decisions that will be followed by our Software Engineers
Helping overseeing and support a large team of Software Engineers
Project estimations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
6 years' experience as a senior developer in large IT projects
2 years' experience as an architect designing solutions
.NET background/.NET core
Strong understanding of Agile practices
Experience with unit testing frameworks, Secure coding and security practices
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Experience working with business teams in gathering requirements and translating them to detailed design
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Cloud Technology (Azure/GCP)
Experienced with API design and development, architecture patterns and cloud native engineering
Experience with complex technical environments
