The Database Architect (expert) will have responsibility for the Data Architecture for the Medicaid Enterprise at the MDW.

The Database Architect will be required to the do the following: Create an Information Database Architecture Plan to bring the MDW into alignment with MITA 3.0

Create a Data Management Plan for the Medicaid Enterprise

Create a Conceptual Data Model for the Medicaid Enterprise

Create a Logical Data Model for the Medicaid Enterprise

Create Data Standards for the Medicaid Enterprise

Create an Information Capability Matrix for the Medicaid Enterprise

Review the current documentation of the current vendor to facilitate the completion of the above

Facilitate meetings and do collaborative research to facilitate the above

Participate in Data Governance Meetings

Fulfil requests from management

Review new and existing data designs including database, SQL and ETL applications to ensure correctness

Database Architect:

Determines database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviews objectives with clients; evaluates current systems; provides database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems.

Expert 84 Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related field.

60 Months of experience with data modelling including 3NF and Dimensional/Data architecture for business intelligence and reporting in a Data Warehouse environment.

84 Months experience in Information Technology supporting / managing / directing deployments including experience with DB2 LUW and / or Oracle

84 Months of experience in decision support / business intelligence environments utilizing Business Intelligence tools.

84 Months of experience in Data Warehouse, Data Mart, and Data Lake Development

84 Months of Experience in writing complex SQL, PL/SQL, R, SAS, Python and UNIX code for Reporting and Data Extraction.

60 Months Experience with Medicaid Data

84 Months of experience with data acquisition, cleansing, and integrations processes (ETL, ELT); including at least one major data integration tool (Informatica/Data Stage/Data Integrator).

84 months experience in infrastructure Capacity Planning, Performance Management, and related functions.

60 Months of experience developing and presenting White Papers on current and future reference models and database architecture trends and their impact on the organization.

84 Months designing, developing and procurement of System and Data integration platforms across at least 20 independent systems
